Roof baskets and platforms

Without a roof basket or a platform, it is almost unthinkable to set off on a 4x4 off-road tour.
That's why there is a remedy for the transport, be it the petrol can, boxes or a spare tire.

What is meant are the roof baskets, they are available in different shapes and sizes, different manufacturers and price categories.
In order to attach a roof basket, you need a railing on the Duster, which is included with Dacia.
After that, there are various cross members that need to be attached to the roof rails. (It's best to measure beforehand to make sure it fits.)

​ After you have that, you attach the roof basket to the cross members. (Check beforehand whether it is also compatible with the roof basket you bought)

​ A disadvantage with regard to the attachment of transport material is that there are hardly any accessories for roof baskets.

You have to help yourself and drive to the nearest hardware store to get fastening buckles or something similar, e.g. B. for shovel or canister.

It is also practical that you can attach additional headlights directly to the roof basket. So you don't need an extra aluminum bar or the like and you've saved some space.

With its aluminum milled groove profiles, it is child's play to combine just about everything that the transporter's heart desires. Accessories for canisters, shovels, spare wheels or light mounts have all proven themselves for Pioneer / Rhino Rack platforms. But there is a small disadvantage and that is the price, which for medium-sized platforms starts at 600 euros without accessories.
